Works with modern engines
We supply generator controllers that can communicate with current ECU engines through a CANbus J1939 interface.
Also available: digital meters and power factor controllers.
How generator set controllers work
A controller is the brain of a generator set. It starts and stops the engine, monitors voltage, frequency and current, shows engine readings on a display, and shuts the set down to protect it when something goes wrong, such as low oil pressure or overheating.
Controllers range from simple manual start panels, where an operator starts the set with a key, to automatic units that start the set on their own when the mains fail and work with an ATS to take over the load.
Which type you need depends on how the set is used. A standby set in a building usually needs an automatic controller, while a small set for occasional use may only need a manual start panel.
Choosing the right controller
To recommend a controller, we need to know your generator rating, your engine model, and whether the set will run alone, with an ATS, or in parallel with other sets. Tell us about your site and our team will advise on the right model and panel layout.
Elmec can also design and upgrade your control panel, MDB and ATS, and supply digital meters and power factor controllers. See our ATS Panels & Voltage Regulator page, or our After Sales & Maintenance service for existing systems. Call 02-314-2656 or email sales@elmec.co.th to talk to our team.
